FM meets with BUDG members

Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman 27 January 2020 held a working meeting with members of the European Parliament's Committee on Budgets (BUDG).

BUDG members, led by Johan Van Overtveldt, exchanged views with the Croatian EU Presidency on the EU budget for 2021-2027, given that the extant budget end on 31 December 2020.

The collocutors discussed the overall amount of the new multiannual budget, which will finance the current and new EU priorities concerning climate change, research and innovation programmes, regional policy, digitalization, migrations and social policy.

Apart from the Multiannual Financial Framework and reforms of the own resources system, MEPs and the Croatian Presidency also talked about the Green Deal and the Just Transition Fund.
