It was with deep regret that I learnt about the passing of professor, politician, humanist, colleague and friend Slobodan Lang. I had the honour to know Lang in person and closely cooperated with him since his days as special advisor for humanitarian issues to president Franjo Tuđman. On behalf of myself and my colleagues in the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, I would like to express sincerest condolences to his family, relatives and friends. In this sad moment we recall Lang’s extraordinary political, humanitarian and scientific career. His memory and achievements will carry on for generations to come.
