Foreign and European Affairs Minister Gordan Grlić Radman 10 February 2020 accompanied President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović on a visit to the Frankfurt Stock Exchange and attended the German-Croatian Business Forum.

In his address, Grlić Radman said that Germany, our biggest trade partner, by hosting the forum encouraged local entrepreneurs, investors and companies to expand their business to Croatia and contribute to further advancement of the two countries’ economic relations.

In addition, the minister underlined that Germany has been fourth on the list of Croatia’s foreign investors for years. “I am equally pleased to say that our friendly relations at the state level mirror onto relations at the federal level as well, in this case Hesse. One should also add in the significant Croatian community in and around Frankfurt, which serves as the bridge for setting up business cooperation,” Grlić Radman said.

The forum was hosted by the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry, under the auspices of the Croatian Chamber of Economy, Rheinhessen Chamber of Commerce and Industry and KWVD. In attendance were representatives from Croatia and Hesse.

The forum was organized as part of the Croatian Economic Day.

President Grabar-Kitarović signalled the start of the business day at the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by ringing the traditional bell.
