FM attends 80th WWII anniversary commemoration

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman attended 1 September 2019 in Warsaw, as part of President Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović’s delegation, a commemoration marking the 80th anniversary of the start of World War II.

On that occasion, the minister held talks with Polish President Andrzej Duda, German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, Hungarian President János Áder, Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki and US Vice President Mike Pence.

The 80th WWII anniversary is an important event for Europe and the world, as it calls for the preservation of world peace and stability, which Grabar-Kitarović underlined in her address.

The commemoration was attended by representatives of more than 40 countries, in honour of the victims of the biggest world conflict in history.
