Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 12 November 2019 attended the 2nd Paris Peace Forum

Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Gordan Grlić Radman 12 November 2019 attended the 2nd Paris Peace Forum.

The minister underlined the importance of meeting in this format to recall the significance of peace and security in the world. “In today’s world of great challenges, unity on peace and stability is of the utmost importance. Responding to geopolitical challenges requires joint efforts and pushing for stronger multilateralism”, Grlić Radman said.

“I’m glad to hear French President Macron underscore the importance of multilateralism in his address and mention in that context the Alliance for Multilateralism, launched by the French and German foreign ministers, which we supported strongly at the UN General Assembly,” Grlić Radman went on to say.

With the aim of dealing with the modern day challenges in a demanding multilateral context, the Paris Peace Forum servers as an incubator for the advancement of projects and launching of new initiatives, offering solutions on peace and security, development, environment, new technologies, inclusive economy, culture and education.

This year's forum has brought together some 100 delegations, including 30 odd heads of state and government, as well as leaders of major international organisations.
