The Dutch Parliament's lower house on 5 February 2013 ratified with a majority vote (118 of the 150) the Treaty of Croatia's Accession to the European Union, following a plenary debate held last Tuesday.

The government adopted the Act of Accession on 16 December 2011. In January 2012 it was sent for review to the Council of State, which greenlighted it within a month, and after the Queen’s signature 22 February 2012 the Act was sent to the parliament.

After the first reading and debates by the European Affairs Committee, its members visited Croatia in fall 2012 and submitted the Act to the House of Representatives chair for plenary discussion.

Croatia's Accession Treaty is yet to be ratified in the Senate and signed by the Queen.
