During her official visit to Kosovo 5 October 2012, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Pusić met with Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri

“The rule of law is one of the instruments of economic growth,” stressed Pusić. She said that the stability of the region was in Croatia’s vital interest, as well as in the interest of the European Union, whereby it is important to carry on with the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. Tahiri commented on the current state of affairs in Kosovo and the reforms being undertaken to get closer to the European democratic and social standards.

In all today’s talks the main topic was the protection of the Croatian minority in Kosovo, whereby Kosovo side said special care would be paid to that and guaranteed a seat in the parliament for the Croatian representative. The Kosovo side also expressed interest in the lectures and transfer of experiences through cooperation with the MFEA Centre of Excellence.
