Dubrovnik is hosting “Brown Forum: U. S. and Southeast European Trade and Investment”

The first day of the conference will see the discussion on international trade as the driving force of economic growth, South Eastern Europe as an area of trade and investment possibilities, regional market in the context of cross-border synergy, success stories and unused opportunities, challenges of creating a conducive business environment and economic competitiveness, as well as overcoming the obstacles in regional and international trade and investment. The second day of the conference will discuss the realization of business opportunities through enterprise, innovation in a competitive international business environment, and financing international partnerships.

The Brown Forum is being held as part of commemorating the 15th anniversary of the tragic death of a group of American businessmen led by then-Commerce Secretary Ron Brown.

The goal of the Brown Forum is to offer businessmen and politicians from the U. S., Croatia and Southeast European countries an opportunity to discuss what the countries in the region are doing and could do in regard to improving their business environments, as well as improving cross-border and transatlantic trade and investment.
