Dr Vesna Cvjetković Kurelec, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Federal Republic of Germany, handed the credentials to Mr. Johannes Rau, President of the Federal Republic of Germany, on 16 May 2003.
After the ceremony, Ambassador Cvjetković-Kurelec had a talk with President Rau and introduced him to the most recent situation in Croatia and its achievements on its path to the European Union. President Rau confirmed the German support to Croatian efforts to become a full member of the European Union as soon as possible.
Ambassador Cvjetković Kurelec transmitted to the German President the invitation of the Croatian President Stjepan Mesić to visit Croatia.
Dr Vesna Cvjetković Kurelec is the fourth Ambassador of the Republic of Croatia to the Federal Republic of Germany.
