The collocutors agreed on the bilateral relations’ being very good and friendly, and expressed hope for their further strengthening in all the areas of mutual interest.

Recalling the recent visit to Croatia by the Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Lytvyn, Minister Jandroković said he hoped it foreshadowed more intensive contacts between the two countries’ high officials. In that regard, he expressed a wish for Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kostyantyn Gryshchenko to visit Croatia this year.

The meeting highlighted the need for enhancing the economic cooperation. Both sides applauded the Croatian government’s recent decision to temporarily suspend visas for the Ukrainian citizens during the tourist season, while Ambassador Levchenko said Ukraine could do the same.

Minister Jandroković outlined Croatia’s views on the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the reasons behind supporting the international community’s intervention in Libya.

He also presented the two multilateral forums soon to be held in Croatia – the Danube Forum in Vukovar and the Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik.
