Minister Jandroković thanked Ambassador Pignatti for his contribution to the deepening of the bilateral relations, as well as his personal engagement and support during the closure of Croatia’s EU negotiations. He specifically pointed out the role of Italian Foreign Minister Franco Frattini as one of the biggest advocates of Croatia’s EU accession.

The collocutors expressed satisfaction with the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries, emphasizing the dynamic of the highest-level meetings.

Ambassador Pignatti congratulated the Croatian Government for completing the negotiation with the EU and the progress achieved in the past few years. He expressed belief that the partnerships relations and cooperation between Croatia and Italy would only grow stronger once Croatia joined the European Union.
