Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gordan Jandroković met with Christian Democratic Appeal MP Sybrand van Haersma Buma

The collocutors agreed that there were numerous possibilities for further improving the parliamentary cooperation, expressing belief that it would also be augmented by the pending official visit by President of the Dutch Senate Rene van der Linden to Croatia.

Minister Jandroković informed MP van Haersma Buma about the progress of Croatia’s EU negotiations, pointing out the joint goal of the Croatian Government and the Hungarian EU presidency to close them by end-June.

In that regard, Croatia remains dedicated to full cooperation with the ICTY, judiciary and public administration reform, fight against corruption, minority rights protection, and the restructuring of the shipbuilding sector. Minister Jandroković said he hoped the Netherlands would recognize the progress in said areas.

Minister Jandroković also familiarized his collocutor with Croatia’s continuous efforts in stabilizing South Eastern Europe and the assistance it offered to the countries of the region along their path to the Euro-Atlantic integration.
