Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Gordan Jandroković met on margins of UN Conference on Least Developed Countries in Istanbul with Cyprian Foreign Minister Markos Kyprianou

The ministers described the relations between Croatia and Cyprus as very good and friendly, with room for further intensification in economy.

Minister Jandroković thanked Cyprus for supporting the EU enlargement, which means Croatia’s accession as well. He reiterated Croatia’s full dedication to completing the negotiations in June this year.

In that regard, he informed Minister Kyprianou about the Croatian government’s actions in satisfying the criteria for closing the remaining negotiation chapters.

Minister Kyprianou upheld Croatia’s efforts to complete the negotiations, pointing out that Croatia would continue to enjoy Cyprus’ full support.

At the end of the meeting, Minister Jandroković invited Minister Kyprianou to this year’s Croatia Summit in Dubrovnik.
