Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović 31 May held political consultations with State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs Peter Javorčik

Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović 31 May held political consultations with State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign Affairs Peter Javorčik. The two officials expressed satisfaction with the good relations as well as conviction that cooperation would continue to intensify within the EU. They discussed further development of bilateral cooperation, namely in the field of economy and energy, in light of Europe’s diversification of energy sources and security. Klisović and Javorčik also talked about the situation in Southeast Europe, expressing their countries’ willingness to transfer their European integration experiences to the region.  

The Slovak state secretary also met with Assistant Minister Hrvoje Marušić. The two officials discussed Croatia’s entering the Schengen area, while Javorčik shared some of Slovakia’s experiences. They also talked about the two countries’ cooperation within the EU Strategy for the Danube Region as well as support for the continuation of EU enlargement.
