Deputy Minister Klisović discusses FTA between EU and Korea

Deputy Foreign and European Affairs Minister Joško Klisović held talks with Choi Donggyou, Director General for FTA Policy of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy

Deputy Foreign and European Affairs Minister Joško Klisović held talks with Choi Donggyou, Director General for FTA Policy of the Korean Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy about the changes following Croatia’s EU accession, notably the implementation of the Free Trade Agreement between the EU and Korea.

The EU-Korea FTA eliminates customs duties for agricultural and industrial goods while including provisions on services, investments, public procurement, market competition, intellectual property and transparency in sustainable development regulations. Korea’s national procedure does not allow automatic implementation of the EU trade agreements, so internal procedures are underway in the EU and Korea in order for the FTA to be valid for Croatia as well. Klisović once again invited Korean businessmen to invest in Croatia.
