Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović attended 22 and 23 March 2013 in Dublin an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers (Gymnich)

Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović attended 22 and 23 March 2013 in Dublin an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers (Gymnich).

The topics included the current foreign policy and security issues, with an emphasis on the political situation in Syria, concerning which further discussion are expected to find a political solution, stop the bloodshed and alleviate the catastrophic humanitarian situation.    

The meeting also reviewed the activities of the European External Action Service (EEAS), underlining the improvements in regard to its internal organization, relations with other EU institutions and cooperation with the EU member states. The part of the meeting dedicated to the EEAS saw the participation of Chairman of the European Parliament’s Committee on Foreign Affairs Elmar Brok and European Commissioner for Inter-Institutional Relations and Administration Maroš Šefčovič.
