Croatian MFAEI and Croatian embassy to Rome, covering Malta, in close contact with Maltese authorities
Croatian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration and the Croatian embassy to Rome, covering the Republic of Malta, is keeping close contact with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other relevant Maltese institutions
Croatian Ambassador to Italy Drago Kraljević and Consul are travelling to Malta to visit the hospitalised and detained Croatian citizens, as well as the Maltese Minister for Sport Censu Galea and officials of the Maltese Soccer Association.
The Republic of Croatia will continue to offer consular assistance until the last Croatian detainee’s case is solved.
According to recent information, a large number of detainees will be interrogated, after which they can be expected to be released and return to Croatia.
The MFAEI and other relevant Croatian institutions are keeping close contact with the Maltese authorities to shed light on all aspects of this incident and undertake the necessary measures.
