Croatian-Hungarian Joint Committee on Minorities held its 10th session

Croatian-Hungarian Joint Committee on Minorities held in Budapest, 2 July 2008, its 10th session. Croatian delegation was led by Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration Mirjana Bohanec-Vidović, accompanied by Croatian Ambassador to Hungary Ivan Bandić. Hungarian delegation was headed by Ferenc Gémesi, State Secretary for Minority and National Policy at Hungarian Prime Minister's Office

During the discussion on mutual protection of minorities and current issues regarding the position of Croatian and Hungarian minorities living in the two countries, the Committee agreed on projects and issues important for both minorities.

Inter-government Committee confirmed that work on Croatian-Hungarian Education Center “Miroslav Krleža” in Pecs would be over by September 2008, and the formal opening would be within the planned program of the 3rd joint session of Croatian and Hungarian governments.
