The presentation was attended by the French poets and members of the Autre SUD editorial board Yves Broussard, Jean Poncet, Jacques Lovichi and André Ughetto, as well as the Croatian poets featured in the almanac – Gordana Benić, Dražen Katunarić, Zvonimir Mrkonjić and Andriana Škunca. The event was honored by the attendance of President of the French PEN Club Sylvestre Clancier and the numerous renowned French poets. The Croatian Poetry Evening saw the presence of Ambassador Mirko Galić, Minister Advisor at the Embassy in Paris Jasna Mileta and other employees.

The first half of this special edition features poems and biographies of 12 contemporary Croatian poets in French, while the other half is dedicated to the French contemporary poets. French PEN Club President Clancier in his inspired speech pointed out the role and contribution of the “small nations” in the weaving of the overall European cultural heritage. Contemporary Croatian poetry was once again given a chance to confirm its presence and value on the French literary scene, thus connecting with the global literary scene, this time via “Voix croisées Croatie – France”.

Autre SUD and the French Embassy in Zagreb are holding talks about organizing a reciprocal event in Zagreb.
