Croatian Ambassador to Portugal Željko Vukosav paid official visit to Autonomous Region of Madeira
The topics concerned the possibilities of deepening the tourist cooperation, intensifying the exchange of experiences with the EU development funds for islands, as well as the local-level cooperation with Croatia
He met with President of the Regional Government of Madeira Alberto João Jardim, Parliament Speaker Miguel Mendonça, Portugal’s Representative for Madeira Antero Alves Diniz, and Vice-Mayor of Funchal Bruno Pereira.The topics concerned the possibilities of deepening the tourist cooperation, intensifying the exchange of experiences with the EU development funds for islands, as well as the local-level cooperation with Croatia.
As part of the ambassadors visit, the photo exhibition entitled Croatia’s Undersea World was opened in the foyer of the Funchal City Theatre by the Consulate of the Republic of Croatia to Funchal, on the initiative of the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Lisbon. The opening was attended by dignitaries from Madeira’s political, public and cultural life, as well as the Croats living on that archipelago.
