The newly appointed Croatian ambassador to Greece, Neven Madey, handed his credentials today, 21 July 2004, in Athens, to President of the Hellenic Republic Constantinos Stephanopoulos
After the handing of credentials, president Stephanopoulos had a short friendly talk with the Croatian ambassador, describing the Croatian-Greek relations as very good, with no problems or open issues, adding that his impressions from his official visits to Croatia are positive, especially from his visit to Dubrovnik.
At the end of the talks, president Stephanopoulos wished Croatia success on its way towards full EU membership, extending his greetings to president Mesić and the Croatian government.
