Croatian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to UN Mirjana Mladineo elected one of five co-ordinators of Working Group on UN Security Council Reform

Croatian Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the UN Mirjana Mladineo was elected on 8 February 2007 one of five co-ordinators of the Working Group on the UN Security Council Reform, responsible for the issues of equal geographical representation in Security Council

Ambassador Mladineo was elected at the meeting of the Open Working Group for the issues of equal representation and enlargement of the Security Council’s membership, under the chairmanship of the UN General Assembly’s President Sheikha Haya Rashed Al Khalifa.

Five co-ordinators were elected for the continuation of the discussion on the Security Council within the general discussion on the UN reform and, along with Ambassador and Permanent Representative Mladineo, include the permanent representatives of Cyprus, Chile, the Netherlands, and Tunisia.
