The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs joins the international community in condemning North Korea’s launching a long-range missile. The launch, following last month’s nuclear bomb test, represents a serious violation of international obligations and numerous UN Security Council resolutions. This brazen act by North Korea could have a destabilizing effect on the security in the Korean Peninsula and beyond.

We call on the North Korean government to cease all activities violating the international law and UNSC resolutions and return to constructive dialogue aimed at achieving regional and global stability and security.
