A China Eastern Airlines flight arrived today from Shanghai to Zagreb, carrying 12.5 tonnes of medical equipment for the fight against COVID-19.
This is the first in a series of flights from China that will transport the equipment needed for the health system and all the services.
Together with a flight from Shanghai that brought 10 tonnes of protective equipment to Frankfurt last night, the Croatian Government has procured more than 20 tonnes of masks, clothing and goggles. The equipment is to be transported from Frankfurt to Croatia tonight.
This is yet another example of quality cooperation between Croatia and China, discussed over the phone on Friday by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković and Premier Li Keqiang. The two officials talked about procuring additional medical equipment from China as well as China's donation of protective equipment, as part of joint efforts to combat the coronavirus pandemic.
