Croatia, Japan ink double taxation avoidance agreement

On 19 October 2018, at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, an agreement on the avoidance of double taxation, income tax and prevention of tax evasion was signed between the Republic of Croatia and Japan.

In the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Marija Pejčinović Burić, the agreement was inked by Croatian Finance Minister Zdravko Marić and Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs Kenji Yamada.

The agreement creates preconditions for boosting economic cooperation between the two countries and facilitates investment.
