The Republic of Croatia harshly condemns the violence in Kiev that in the last 24 hours has taken 25 lives and left more than 100 wounded, and calls for all sides, notably the repressive forces, to refrain from further use of force. We also appeal to government representatives to resume dialogue with the opposition and citizens as soon as possible.

The extraordinary meeting of the Foreign Affairs Council tomorrow in Brussels, to be attended by Minister Pusić, will analyse the situation in Ukraine. We are confident that the member countries will agree on the steps necessary to end the violence and find a political solution.
