Croatia eyes events in Egypt with concern

We express regret over the victims of the recent unrests and call for the refraining from violence in order for the situation to calm down

We hope that the violence will cease and democratic dialogue will ensue so that the crisis could be resolved and the political, economic and social reforms carried out with full respect for the basic human rights. We are convinced that this will create preconditions for the improvement of the lives of all the citizens and enable further progress of Egypt, which is an important factor of regional and wider stability, as well as Croatia’s friend country.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration will continue to follow the developments in Egypt in expectation of the calming of the situation.
