Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Batistić Kos met with a Tajikistani delegation to present Croatia’s experiences and know-how in mine clearance

Assistant Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Vesna Batistić Kos met with a Tajikistani delegation to present Croatia’s experiences and know-how in mine clearance.

The Tajikistani side had shown great interest in Croatia’s demining achievements. Batistić Kos underlined the prospect of strengthening Croatia-Tajikistan cooperation, not only in the area of mine action but in other aspects of post-conflict reconstruction as well. She announced that in May the First Review Conference of the Convention on Cluster Munitions is to be held in Dubrovnik. Director of Tajikistani Mine Action Centre Ibrohimov Mahabbat thanked for the meeting, highlighting the successful cooperation with Croatia’s CROMAC, notably in drawing up legal acts on mine action activities.
