President Eduardo dos Santos said Angola perceives Croatia as a friend and thanked for the assistance Angola had received during its break from colonial dependence and the establishing of independence. The collocutors also talked about initiating economic cooperation in construction, shipbuilding, fishery and mariculture, agriculture and food industry, tourism, military industry and, conversely, in alleviating the consequences of war, from mine action to the psychosocial community reconstruction.

Ambassador Vukosav relayed to the Angolan president the greetings and well wishes of the new Croatian President Ivo Josipović.
