Ambassador Turčinović handed credentials to Montenegrin President Vujanović

Croatian Ambassador to the Republic of Montenegro Petar Turčinović handed on 10 January 2007 the originals of his credentials to Montenegrin President Filip Vujanović, thereby assuming the duty of the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Croatia to the Republic of Montenegro

During the meeting, both sides concluded that the setting up of the diplomatic relations between the two countries is a crucial element in establishing friendly relations, expressing a wish for the development of all forms of co-operation, especially in the field of economy.

President Vujanović commended the pending opening of the Croatian Embassy to Montenegro and described as especially important the forthcoming meeting with Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader.

Ambassador Turčinović expressed satisfaction with him being the first Croatian ambassador to the Republic of Montenegro, stating that Croatia is willing to continue offering assistance to Montenegro in the realisation of its Euro-Atlantic ambitions.
