The University of Split has signed with the University of Niigata a friendship and cooperation agreement, though which the project entitled Risk Identification and Land-Use Planning for Mitigation of Landslide and Flood Disasters in Croatia is being realized for the duration of 5 years, and is worth $4 million. The meeting with the president of the University of Niigata also discussed the possibilities of the University of Split cooperating with the universities of Seoul and Khabarovsk.
