Ambassador Drago Štambuk met with Chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament (Diet) Taro Kono.

Ambassador Štambuk presented to Chairman of the Committee Kono the current status of Croatia’s accession negotiations with the European Union. Mr. Taro Kono said that Japan fully supported accession of the Republic of Croatia to the EU. In addition, they discussed the exchange of visits of Chairmen of the Foreign Policy Committee of the Croatian Parliament and the House of Representatives of the Japanese Parliament.

Committee Chairman Taro Kono is also member of the Parliamentary Friendship League Japan-Croatia.
