On Thursday, 14 September 2006, in Otočac na Krki, Croatian and Slovenian representatives of the Permanent Croatian-Slovenian Water Management Commission Zdravko Krmek i Marko Starman signed the Agreement on the Reconstruction of the Flood Bank on the Left Side of the Mura River, operationalising the Joint Statement by Croatian and Slovenian prime ministers Ivo Sanader and Janez Janša from 2 September 2006
The Agreement defines the ways of reconstructing the bank in the border area along the Mura River, determines the establishing of a construction consortium composed of Croatian Vodogradnja Ltd. and Slovenian VGP Mura Ltd., and defines the ways of financing and labor division at the areas to be reconstructed and repaired.
