Agreement initialled on Croatia’s participation in European Economic Area

After all legal documents regarding Croatia’s accession to the European Economic Area (EEA) have been finalized, a ceremony was held 20 December in Brussels where the Agreement on Croatia’s Participation in the European Economic Area and the respective international legal instruments was initialled. On behalf of Croatia, the Agreement was initialled by Deputy Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Joško Klisović.
Croatia’s participation in the EEA is an obligation stemming from the Accession Treaty and enables Croatia to tap into the EEA and Norway grants scheme.
