The meeting once again confirmed the excellent and traditionally friendly bilateral relations between Croatia and Germany

The meeting once again confirmed the excellent and traditionally friendly bilateral relations between Croatia and Germany. Minister Jandroković thanked Germany for the continuous support it was showing Croatia along its path to the full-fledged EU membership.

He also informed his counterpart Westerwelle about the current status of Croatia’s accession process, pointing out Croatia intended to close the remaining seven chapters and complete the negotiations by the end of the first half of this year. He also emphasized the Croatian authorities’ dedication towards putting forth all the necessary efforts to carry through the remaining reforms.

Minister Westerwelle conveyed Germany’s strong and open support for the completion of Croatia’s accession process and EU membership. That is, he pointed out, in the interest of Croatia, the region of South Eastern Europe and the European Union itself.

He once again mentioned this weeks’ arrival of parcel bomb at the Croatian Embassy in Berlin. Condemning said act, he stressed the resolution of the relevant German bodies to identify the perpetrator as soon as possible.
