Special Representative Zanier informed State Secretary Božinović of the current situation and challenges encountered by the UN mission in Kosovo. He also commented on the security, social and economic situation which significantly influences the development of internal policy relations in that area. In addition, he stressed that the Republic of Croatia might serve as an example to all countries in the region in the context of regional issues.

The two parties exchanged opinions on the possibilities for Croatian participation in the improvement of the general situation in Kosovo, and they exchanged views on regional cooperation, in particular with a view to relations within CEFTA. On that occasion, they both expressed their support for the process of strengthening of both bilateral and regional relations between countries of South-East Europe.

State Secretary Božinović was especially interested in members of the Croatian community in Kosovo, their current position and their future in the light of the general situation in this area. At the end of their conversation, State Secretary Božinović informed his colleague of the cooperation between Croatia and its neighbours and about efforts invested by Croatia to contribute to prosperity and security of the entire region.
