State Secretary Božinović used this opportunity to express gratitude on political and expert support that Lithuania has given to Croatia on its path to Euro–Atlantic integration. He also spoke highly of the co–operation in the framework of NATO in Afghanistan, since Croatian soldiers played an active role in the Provincial Reconstruction Team Chaghcharan under Lithuanian command.

One of the topics at the meeting was also the modalities of future bilateral co–operation. Special emphasis was placed on conclusion of Croatian negotiations, as well as future co–operation within the framework of European Union. Furthermore, positions were exchanged on the new diplomatic service and Eastern Partnership. In accordance with the fields of interest of the speakers, there were talks on the situation in south–eastern Europe.

Since Lithuania will chair the OSCE in 2011., State Secretary Božinović also spoke with Rytis Paulauskas who is in charge of the Lithuanian chairmanship of OSCE. On that occasion, he informed on the dedication of the Croatian Government on fulfilling the two mandate issues of the OSCE Office in Zagreb and presented the continuous activities of the Croatian Government in that matter. The Lithuanian side presented plans and priorities that are to be fulfilled during their chairmanship of OSCE.
