Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović received on Friday, 15 June 2007, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of Croatia seated in Prague, the Czech Republic, Argita Daudze, Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to the Republic of Croatia seated in Vienna, the Republic of Austria, Ahmed Alwan Mulhi Al-Alwani and Ambassador of the Republic of Peru to the Republic of Croatia seated in Bucharest, Romania, Elardo Escala for their inaugural visit
Ambassador Daudze was also received for inaugural visit by the State Secretary for European Integrations Marija Pejčinović Burić and they discussed subjects regarding Euroatlantic integrations.
During the meeting with Ambassador Al-Alwani both sides confirmed interest in further development of relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Yemen through intensifying bilateral meetings, particularly those on the highest level. Also, Minister and Ambassador stressed the need for strengthening economic cooperation, especially in the field of tourism, for which Ambassador Al-Alwani expressed Yemen's interest in Croatia's experience.
Minister Grabar-Kitarović and Ambassador Escala pointed out good relations between the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Peru. Beside mutual desire for intensifying agreement regulations as a basis for improving bilateral cooperation, particularly in the field of economy, both sides agreed on the statement that the Croatian community in Peru is an important element of good bilateral relations.
Minister Grabar-Kitarović welcomed the newly appointed Ambassadors of the Republic of Latvia, Republic of Yemen, and the Republic of Peru and wished them much success in their future work.
