Assistant Minister Pelicarić held closing speech and handed participation certificates to participants of seminar in the field of European Security and Defence Policy titled “ESDP Operations, Training and External Relations“

Assistant Minister at the Directorate for the European Union and European Cooperation Neven Pelicarić held closing speech and awarded participation certificates to participants of a seminar in the field of European Security and Defence Policy (ESDP) titled “ESDP Operations, Training and External Relations“, which took place between 11 and 15 June 2007 at the RACVIAC centre in Zagreb

Along with Assistant Minister Pelicarić, the closing speech at the third, of the total four modules of one-year training cycle in the field of European security and defence policy intended for the member countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process, titled “ESDP Operations, Training and External Relation“, was also held by Major General, the Director of the RACVIAC Stergios Papotis, Deputy Head of Department for Defence Policy at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Hungary Peter Gyila, and the central coordinator of training on European security and defence policy for the member countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process from the Office for Security Policy at the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Austria.

The seminar was organized by joint efforts of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Ministry of Defence, Regional Arms Control Verification and Implementation Assistance Centre (RACVIAC), and the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Hungary, and the participants were the representatives of the ministries of foreign affairs, defence, and interior, parliaments and institutes from the Republic of Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Republic of Montenegro, Republic of Croatia, Republic of Macedonia, and the Republic of Serbia. The objective of the seminar was to give the participants a broader insight into European security and defence policies, their legislative and financial framework, military and civilian operations, and the mentioned policies from an aspect of foreign relations with international organisations, third countries and the member countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
