Chaired by State Secretary for Political Affairs Hido Biščević, with the participation of Furio Radin, Chairman of the Croatian Parliament’s Committee for Human and Minority Rights, and representatives of the Italian Union, a meeting of the Interdepartmental Commission for the monitoring of the implementation of the minority rights agreement between the Republic of Croatia and the Italian Republic was held today, 31 March 2005, in Zagreb
The meeting reviewed certain aspects of the implementation of Croatia’s regulations concerning the rights and protection of the Italian community in Croatia. Along with the conclusion about the highest level of the protection of Italian minority’s rights, the meeting enabled the representatives of the Italian Union to put forward their proposals directly to the representatives of the state bodies with the aim of further improving the implementation of relevant regulations.
