Apart from taking part at the conference, Minister Žužul had three bilateral meetings. Sweden's Foreign Minister Laila Freivalds and Minister Žužul talked about Croatia entering the EU and NATO. Sweden's Minister expressed her country's support, stressing the importance of meeting the Copenhagen criteria. Minister Freivalds also expressed her satisfaction with of the new government's treatment of the national minorities and respect for human rights. Minister Žužul asked the Minister Freivalds to send Croatia's Prime Minister Ivo Sanader's invitation to Sweden's Prime Minister Göran Persson to visit Croatia, and personally invited her to pay an official visit to Zagreb. Slovakia's Vice Prime Minister Pal Csaky also expressed his support to Croatia's efforts in joining the EU and NATO, and pointed out the new Croatian government's good relations with the national minorities and their members. Czech Deputy Foreign Minister Pavel Vosalik described relations between Croatia and the Czech Republic as very good. Mr. Vosalik offered to share Czech Republic's experiences in Croatia's joining the EU and NATO, which the Czech government is in support of. They also discussed the co-operation between the two countries within the UN Commission for Human Rights in Geneva. Deputy Foreign Minister Vosalik invited Minister Žužul to pay an official visit to Prague, which he accepted.
