The collocutors agreed that the bilateral relations between the two states are very good and friendly, without any outstanding issues in the regular visits between high officials, and with excellent parliamentary cooperation, and could therefore set an example to other states both within their regions and in the wider community. Minister Jandrokovic expressed satisfaction with the high level of cooperativeness of the peacekeeping missions of the two states in Afghanistan, and gratitude for the support provided by official Ankara to Croatia during its accession to NATO. In return, he expressed support to Turkey's membership in the European Union, adding that the acceptance of any state into membership should depend solely on the individual achievements of the candidate state.
They concluded that economic relations should be developed more intensely, with the Republic of Croatia particularly interested in the implementation of infrastructural projects, and both states interested in attracting investor capital and enriching trade cooperation.
The ministers also exchanged experiences on the EU negotiation process, opinions on the current political situation in their regions and the relations with the states concerned, cooperation with multilateral institutions, the UN in particular, as well as anti-terrorism and climate change.
