Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Jandrokovic met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, on the margins of the EU-Central Asia Security Forum, held 18 September 2008 in Paris.
Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of the Republic of Croatia Gordan Jandrokovic met with the Foreign Affairs Minister of Turkmenistan, Rashid Meredov, on the margins of the EU-Central Asia Security Forum, held 18 September 2008 in Paris.
On that occasion, Minister Jandrokovic familiarised Minister Meredov with Croatia's economic potential and the interest in co-operation in energy, telecommunications, petrochemistry, construction, shipbuilding, and tourism.
The two also talked about the energy co-operation and energy source transportation, as well as about the need to intensify the cultural, scientific, and educational co-operation. Minister Jandrokovic advocated a speedier signing of the agreement on the protection of investment and avoidance of double taxation.
Minister Jandrokovic also took the opportunity to invite his Turkmen colleague to visit the Republic of Croatia.
