Governor of the Region of Istria, Ivan Jakovicic and director of „Istra Golf Design“ company, Branko Curic have visited the Turkish Province of Antalya on June 19-20, 2008.
During the visit they held talks with the Governor of the Province of Antalya, Alaaddin Yuksel, Major of Antalya, Menderes Turel, and the President of the Chamber of Economy and Industry of the Province of Antalya, Kemal Özgen. They have also paid a visit to the Free Zone in the port of Antalya.

During the visit they held talks with the Governor of the Province of Antalya, Alaaddin Yuksel, Major of Antalya, Menderes Turel, and the President of the Chamber of Economy and Industry of the Province of Antalya, Kemal Özgen. They have also paid a visit to the Free Zone in the port of Antalya.
Governor Jakovcic has stressed numerous areas in which economical cooperation between Istria and Antalya is possible. Tourism and clean industries are common characteristics of the two provinces. The following areas were emphasised as possible cooperation: elite tourism, golf tourism, agriculture, yacht building.
During the course of the meetings it was agreed that a business delegation, headed by the Governor and Mayor of Antalya, visits the Region of Istria in the fall 2008.
In the aim of making some concrete business cooperation Protocol of cooperation between the town of Porec and Antalya Municipality, and the Protocol of cooperation between Chambers of Economy and Industry of the Province of Antalya and the Region of Istria will be signed.
