Meeting of the General Affairs Council (GAC), Luxembourg, 23 June 2015

The General Affairs Council meeting took place in Luxembourg, on 23th June 2015. Croatia was represented by Ambassador Mato škrabalo, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union. The Council discussed the draft text of the European Council conclusions which will be held on 25 and 26 June 2015, with particular reference to issues of migration pressures, security and defense, as well as economic issues, focusing on the establishment of a Single Digital Market. During the working lunch, the ministers discussed the need of strategic communication in the context of the implementation of the European Council conclusions in March 2015. The ministers have also exchanged views on the European Commission’s package of proposals for the adoption of better EU regulation, in order to achieve better results with less administrative efforts and costs, which will in particular contribute to reducing the burden for small and medium enterprises.
