On 5 April 2019 in New York diplomatic relations were established between the Republic of Croatia and the Kingdom of Eswatini.
The Joint Communiqué on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries was signed by Ambassador Vladimir Drobnjak, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Croatia to the United Nations, for the Government of the Republic of Croatia, and Ambassador Melusi Martin Masuku, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Eswatini to the United Nations, for the Government of the Kingdom of Eswatini.
