The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Croatia condemns the latest nuclear test conducted by North Korea. Testing nuclear weapons is a threat to global and regional security and violation of international commitments, specifically the ones resulting from UN Security Council resolutions 1718, 1874 and 2087.
We appeal to North-Korean authorities to discontinue developing and testing nuclear weapons and to meet their commitments under international law and UN Security Council resolutions, as well as to resume dialogue with the international community, including the six-party talks, to contribute to regional stability and confidence building.
