The Republic of Croatia elected to the Peacebuilding Commission

The Republic of Croatia is elected to the Organizational Committee of the Peacebuilding Commission (PBC) for two-year mandate.

The General Assembly elected the Republic of Croatia to the Organizational Committee of the Peacebuilding Commission (PBC), the body set up by the United Nations in December 2005 to prevent countries emerging from conflict from failing back into chaos. Following an election by acclmation, the Republic of Croatia will now serve two-year term starting 1 January 2012. This is not the first time that the Republic of Croatia is a member of the Peacebuilding Commission. On 16 May 2006, the Republic of Croatia was elected to be a member of the Commission for one-year mandate.
