Minister Grabar-Kitarović visited NY, took part in opening of General Debate of UN General Assembly’s 62nd session

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was on a visit to New York from 24 to 28 September 2007, where she took part in the opening of the General Debate of the 62nd session of the UN General Assembly.

Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration Kolinda Grabar-Kitarovic was on a visit to New York from 24 to 28 September 2007, where she took part in the opening of the General Debate of the 62nd session of the UN General Assembly. During the visit, Minister Grabar-Kitarovic held a series of bilateral meetings with the foreign ministers of Guyana, Oman, Syria, Mozambique, Rwanda, Mexico, South Africa, Laos, Vietnam, Tuvalu, Eritrea, Barbados, and Kuwait. After bilateral meeting with Ukrainian Foreign Minister Areseniy Yatsenyuk, the two signed the Joint Statement by the Foreign Ministers of the Republic of Croatia and the Republic of Ukraine, as well as the Plan of Co-operation in the Political, Economic, Trade, and Humanitarian Field, while the meeting between Minister Grabar-Kitarovic and Mauritian Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Co-operation Madan Murlidhar Dulloo saw the signing of the Agreement of Co-operation between the two countries' foreign ministries. Minister Grabar-Kitarovic also took part in the Security Council's summit on Africa and held a speech at the summit dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the Chemical Weapons Convention, as well as participated in the minister-level meeting of the Non-Aligned Movement and in the activities of the ministerial meeting on health as a foreign-policy issue. Minister Grabar-Kitarovic participated furthermore in the meeting of the foreign ministers of the US-Adriatic Charter (A3) and the joint meeting of the foreign ministers Partnership for Peace participants: Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, and Serbia (A3-B3). Minister Grabar-Kitarovic took part at the de la Francophonie, organised by French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner, and the last day of her stay in New York, participated in the meeting of the Women Leaders Working Group, organised by the US Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.
