"In Athens, the Transitions 1st Balkans Festival is taking place 5-16 March. The Festival is focused on the region of South-East Europe. Artists from a number of countries, from Slovenia to Greece are taking part. Croatian artists are actively participating. The Festival is organised in the Onasis Culture Centre. Performances by Croatian groups BADco., Živa Muzika, Zagreb Dance Center, Populus, and by artists Oliver Frljic (who directed the play„Proklet bio izdajica svoje domovine“, performed by the Slovenian Youth Theatre from Ljubljana), Goran Fercec, Matija Ferlin, and other performance artists within the framework of the Performance Night are receiving a lot of attention. The Zagreb theatre group BADco. gave, on 9 March a performance of its play 1 poor and 1 0. The play is in essence a reconstruction of the first film ever shot, Workers Leaving the Lumiere Factory, by the Lumiere Brothers. It is an overview of parallel histories of industrial production, of film and of choreography throughout the 20th century. The show attracted a huge audience, including the representative of the Embassy."
